I believe we all serve a purpose and our individuality is what makes that purpose unique. It's what makes us able to offer up something different than the next person even if only by a hair, it's still different. I also believe everything is working towards a general end purpose. That there is a big picture, whether I can see it or not and whether I'm consciously working towards it or not, it exists.
I often wonder if I would have grown had my husband not challenged me. I know that I accepted the challange and thus made it that much more possible to grow, but even if I didn't accept it and I refused to grow I would still be making a choice.. and would I not still be growing just in a different direction? It would have been the wrong choice for me, in my opinion, so I'm glad I chose trust and love and honor. I took a huge risk and it paid so well.
Is life all about the choices we make or do we have a particular reason for existing? Is there a balance that we are meant to maintain? Whether we choose to or not? Are we capped per individual? Do we each have a path to travel and we are only limited how high based on that particular path? We can all accomplish greatness but greatness like anything else isn't absolute. We each define everything through our own perspectives.
Weeds can grow just about anywhere but it takes particular care to grow certain flowers or plants.. they require a certain love.. a certain nurturing and patience. Are we like that as individuals? Do we need each other more than we realize to grow? We must endure the thunderstorms and the droughts in our lives and we have to learn to grow despite the conditions and in fact...
Thrive anyway..
We reap what we sow. And this is where our own choices either help us flower or hinder us from blooming. If we can't weather the storm if we can't survive the drought.. we die.
And if we're not actively living.. if we're not growing we're not living.. and as a result we are just dying.
Whatever we are. We should be that. We should be that so hard that there is no question as to what we are. When someone asks we should say... I AM... I AM individually me. I am only me. I am the product of my own thoughts. My own opinions. I am. Me. Wholly and truly me because of others but not defined by others.
I am thankful for growth. I am thankful for the the storms I have weathered.. I am thankful for those who were there to hold the umbrella. I am thankful for myself. For choosing to grow. For choosing to accept and love this life and everything that it means to be me in it.. I can't wait for tomorrow. For the tomorrow I've built. For the reality I've created.
Thank you husband. For building this world with me.
For those of you who are struggling know your struggle is trying to so hard to tell you things.. to open your mind to change... don't be afraid. Have courage and stand up. The water isn't as deep as you think. You aren't drowning. You are breathing. Breathe.
