How art thou today??
Hopefully fantastic! Sunday's are pretty great.
Really every day is pretty great.
It just all depends on how you spend your time!
I like to use Sundays to recharge and set up for the week!
This week is going to be an exciting week!!!
Tomorrow (Monday) we meet our sons Kindergarten teacher!!
Then we'll have an off day on Tuesday and my little man will start Kindergarten on Wednesday!! I can't believe it!!
Then Friday is grocery day!!
So with all that being said I have quite the bit of planning to do today!!
I know for a long time I have done Motivational Monday's...
I still definitely celebrate Motivational Monday however.. it starts with Sunday..
Today I'm going to finish up all the laundry so we can all pick our outfits for the week.. especially little man I know he's excited to pick out his first school clothes!!!!
So I have made some printables (you can click there or there's a link at the bottom of this post) you should definitely check them out!!
They are complete with Menus, ToDo List, Weekly Goals, Monthly Goals..
I will post our menu for the week tomorrow...
Now that I have moved Motivational Monday's to Sunday now I can just post our Menu on Monday... #MenuPlanMondays
There's so many things you could do for Monday and mine were really starting to get bogged down so this is a great shift for me and for my blog and for
my readers for that matter!!!
You all can have all the tools you need before Monday comes!
Speaking of living intentionally... I am a FIRM BELIEVER in the almighty to-do list.
It's an amazing thing.
I can also see myself posting these pretty regularly in the future along with my goal lists.. it's more fun with a friend you know!! ;)
It's easy to get sucked in to the "Sunday Blues" (yes that's a real thing apparently) especially if you're a 9-5 worker or student... so find some things to be thankful for! The easiest way for me to do this is every time I complain I turn it around and become thankful. Small perspective shift's are great. Shake the dread off... think about this way... Monday only comes once a week! When you look back you won't remember (for the most part) what day it was... only if you were happy or not, also if you have children just remember they're watching! How you feel about Monday will more than likely turn into their thoughts about Monday...
Check the Calendar.
Well once we reach "adulthood" (well and really long before then even in high school I always had a planner) we have calendars to help PREPARE us for future events.. they aren't going to work that great though if you don't take the time to look through them.. maybe check to see if you have birthday's coming up that month (I like to buy birthday cards ahead) check for any appointments etc. This is all a part of living intentionally.. don't let life sneak up on you.. then you are only left "reacting" and that's not ideat.. you don't want to constantly be reacting to life.. then you are not the one in charge.. so take charge.. prepare yourself for the future!
Plan your meals for the week.
Just do it. Cmonnnn.... your future self will be so happy that you did this... go on now.. go see what's in the freezer.. see what's in the pantry.. again.. be aware of what's happening in your own life!!! Nothing worse than realizing it's noon and you have no idea what's for dinner.. or after a long day's work no one wants to come home unprepared!! Don't set yourself up.. failing to plan is planning to fail! I promise it also won't take long... if you really just can't muster anything up don't worry... go to PINTEREST... it's a menu planners dream... just don't get lost in there!!!
Make a To-Do List.
I love love love lists... I have them everywhere... but I always make a to-do list.. it keeps me on my toes and lets me be aware of my expectations for the week! You should always make a list... there are tons and tons of methods... find a way that works for you.. some people make columns.. A,B,C sorted by priority... some people like to just write down 3 or 5 things to complete that day... maybe you have a separate cleaning schedule.. either way... having a list is a great thing! Also helps with that sense of accomplishment.. nothing feels better than crossing things off the to-do list... visual progress.. it's glorious!!!
Find the Balance.
Don't spend your whole day preparing for Monday... be sure to set some time aside to rest and reflect... recharge... you don't want to wear yourself out before Monday comes that's NOT the goal here.. the goal here is to do the small, tedious but necessary tasks... such as laundry... laundry is a GREAT Sunday chore... getting everything washed and PUT AWAY... yes PUT IT AWAY... the last thing you want is to be running around crazy trying to "find" clothes... which leads me to my next suggestion...
Pick out clothes for the week.
Do you remember when you were a kid and you used to get your clothes out and ready for school in the morning?? Well you're an adult now and WHY AREN'T YOU DOING THIS!?!? lol. Seriously?? This is the adulthood we all waited so impatiently for.. enjoy it!! Spend like 10-15 mins picking out your wardrobe for the week or at least the first few days.. make the beginning of the week easier on yourself.. while you're at it lets move on to the next suggestion...
Get everything gathered & ready to go out the door.
You know that Monday morning madness where you spend the 20 minutes you left yourself after getting up late finding all the things you need to make it through a day at work? or home? Nothing worse than having a crappy day before you even LEAVE the house.. remedy this.. get things ready.. I know now that my son is starting school we will be doing this much much more... I always remind hubby to gather his things up the night before because he is a master at losing things lol but I love him anyway ;) ......so what do you need to have a successful day? Get your keys.. phone.. wallet.. purse.. kids bookbags.. shoes... everything you need.. locate it and prepare it for the day ahead!!
I know.. it seems like a lot.. but I promise you once you do it it's really not.. I sleep in on Sundays.. I'm up and about around 9am.. and I can get most of this done by noon and have the rest of the day to relax with my fam (besides finishing up laundry)
So last but not least:
Go to bed before Midnight.
No matter how long you procrastinate Monday is going to come. Be ready for it. Get some rest... we usually go to sleep between 10-11 and I am up at 6am to make breakfast... which is also important... be sure you get some breakfast! (Maybe find something you can make tonight and have quickly in the morning.. maybe granola.. breakfast cookies.. quiche.. freezer breakfast burritos.. freezer breakfast biscuits.. lots of options once again use my lovely friend PINTERST you can find tons of ideas!)
Please watch for our Menu Plan tomorrow and I think I may also post a Weekly Goals post.. this week is going to be CAHHRAAAZY!!! So.. we'll see how it goes..
WISH US LUCK! Most love to all of you and thank you so much for reading!!
Let's all have a great week!
